It's Friday, and I'm in sunny Durbz. I thought I'd wake up this early to at least pretend that I was going to lectures, but for all of you that really are going, have fun.
Becasue I'm at home, I have the rare opportunity to add a photo from back in the day to my blog, so here it is:

TA DAAAAA! You have no idea how much of an issue it was to upload this.
The photo is Sister & Me on the Spido Cruise in Rotterdam, 2001. I was still in standard 8 (grade/year 10; form 4). She was a 1st year in Varsity. She doesn't really like this photo but its the only one that was easily accessible.
Time passes by, I am now in my third year, and Sister has an honours degree in psychology from Rhodes, a PGCE from UNISA and a CELTA somethingamijig TEFL whatchamacallit from Doodahvilleston. And I still have that same jacket (from Mr Price) and wore it last week when I played soccer in the rain. I've had two different pairs of glasses since then though.
Alright.
Goodbye folk, and thanks for watching. (And check out http://classiccartoons.blogspot.com/ - find the long sequences and move your scroley mouse button in the right direction very quickly. It's like watching a silent movie in colour.)
And as a final postcript. I found out that the Word of The Day for a day VERY close to my birthday last year was
laconic \luh-KON-ik\, adjective:Using or marked by the use of a minimum of words; brief and pithy; brusque.
Readers' reports range from the laconic to the verbose.-- Bernard Stamler, "A Brooklyncentric View of Life", New York Times, February 28, 1999

Watup G???! gangsta... my ass! Ja you're in freaking Durban where the sun always shines... on HOLIDAY... and yet you're up this early???! There must be something wrong with Cape Town... PSSSHT! and people think that this miserable, cold, windy and wet city (ok, it's really not that bad, but when the weather report says 26, and you dress in shorts and a t-shirt and have to find refuge in the computer room with an apposing air-con function, i.e. a simulation of the inside of a volcano!... then you know!!!!).
So anyway now that i'm off my train of thought... enjoy your limited days in Durbz and soak up all the sun you can!!!! O yes, did you see Mathew Keiser (was that his name?!) on the sabc 3, 8 o'clock lecture... dude that's when you know you spend too much time at med skewl! Shite... i mean news and not lecture! sheet guy! What's happening???! Maybe it's all the excess sunlight liquid i soaked up last night, but hey its for a worthy cause right? O and on that note, thanks for las-ing all your dirty dishes for me (that's when you know!... 2 much tym in getdown land). Lukka bru... Ay GUY!
